1 injured in Silver Spring hit and run

WASHINGTON — One person is in the hospital after a hit and run in Silver Spring on Wednesday night.

A black Honda struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Piney Branch Road and Arliss Street at about 9:15 p.m., the Montgomery County police said.

Two people were inside the vehicle, which had heavy windshield and front end damage. The pedestrian is expected to survive.
