Glass particles in popular beer prompts recall

WASHINGTON – A voluntary recall of some Corona beers was announced Monday after the company reported glass particles may be found in select 12-ounce, clear Corona Extra beer.

The recall includes 6-, 12- and 18-pack Corona Extra packages.

“A production error occurred at one of four glass plants run by third-party manufacturers that supply us with bottles,” stated Constellation Brands Beer Division, the company that makes Corona, in a news release.
