Camping Virginia man dies on Outer Banks

FRISCO, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a Virginia man reported missing over the weekend on the Outer Banks has been found.

Area news outlets report that 57-year Ronald Jessen of Gloucester, Virginia, was camping with friends in Frisco when he was reported missing late Saturday night.

Authorities say his body was found floating in water near the campground Monday.

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office said no additional information was available. The state Medical Examiner is expected to determine the cause of death this week.
