Weekly Crime Report: Aug. 21 to Aug. 29

The most recent area crime reports in this week’s 2nd Police District crime summary:

A commercial burglary occurred at The Walker Group, 4720 Montgomery Avenue in Bethesda over the weekend between Friday, 7/25 and Monday 7/28. Unknown entry; property taken.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 7400 block of Denton Road in Bethesda on Monday, 7/21 at approximately 1:20 p.m. Forced entry; purse taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4700 block of Oxbow Road in Rockville on Monday, 7/28 between midnight and 2:00 a.m. No forced entry; property taken.

Five thefts from vehicles occurred this week in commercial lots along Rockville Pike. Incidents occurred sometime during the day; however time spans varied as most were not discovered right away. All of the victims reported entry was forced and items left inside (purses, laptops) taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 46300 block of Owen Place in Bethesda sometime between Friday, 7/25 and Sunday, 7/27. No forced entry; property taken.

A theft occurred at Giant, 5400 Westbard Avenue in Bethesda on Monday, 7/21 at approximately 6:00 p.m. The suspects removed property from the victim.

Suspects: Two W/F, 30′s, long black hair

A residential burglary occurred in the 8500 block of Garfield Street in Bethesda between 10:30 p.m. and midnight on Sunday, 7/27. Property was taken from an open garage.

Four thefts from vehicles occurred in the Glen Echo area – along Newbold Drive, Newmarket Drive, and Westfield Drive in Bethesda. Incidents occurred during the overnight hours with three occurring between Thursday, 7/24 and Friday, 7/25. No signs of forced entry were noted. Loose items (glasses, wallets, IDs) were taken.
