Rascal Flatts cancels 3 shows due to illness

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Singer Gary LeVox has lost his voice, forcing Rascal Flatts to cancel three shows in the Pacific Northwest this week.

The country band issued a news release Wednesday announcing dates had been canceled in Nampa, Idaho; Airway Heights, Washington; and Mission, British Columbia, Canada, where they were set to appear at the Rockin’ River Music Festival.

Flatts member Jay DeMarcus, LeVox’s cousin, says the singer lost his voice due to a combination of heavy touring and media appearance schedules.

DeMarcus says the band promises to return to the area soon. Ticket refund information is available from point of purchase.
