UMW, community college to sign nursing agreement

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) — The University of Mary Washington and Germanna Community College will sign an agreement to create multiple paths for students to earn nursing degrees.

The presidents of each school will sign a transfer and co-enrollment agreement on Monday.

School officials say the agreements will help provide a higher level of nursing education in their community and bolster health care services in the region.

The ceremony will take place at the University of Mary Washington’s Stafford campus.
