Wright-Phillips lifts Red Bulls past Arsenal

HARRISON, N.J. (AP) — Bradley Wright-Phillips scored in the 32nd minute to help Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls beat England’s Arsenal FC 1-0 on Saturday in the New York Cup.

Red Bulls captain Thierry Henry, Arsenal’s career goals leader, assisted on the goal in front of a sellout crowd of 25,219 at Red Bull Arena.

After Henry’s corner kick, Ibrahim Sekagya headed the ball back across the face of goal, and Wright-Phillips redirected it past goalkeeper Wojciech.
