4-year-old boy sexually assaulted by 10-year-old

WASHINGTON — Charles County detectives have identified the 10-year-old male suspect who reportedly molested a 4-year-old boy at the Capital Clubhouse last weekend in Maryland.

The 4-year-old boy was at the local ice arena and recreational sports facility for an event July 20 and began playing with an older boy he had just met. Diane Richardson of the Charles County Sheriff’s office says later that evening the younger boy described to a family member an incident between him and the older child in question that was consistent with a sexual assault.

Investigators pursued several leads and identified the suspect on Friday, July 25. The case will be reviewed with the State’s Attorney’s Office and the investigation is ongoing.
