Time Warner, Bright House to carry SEC Network

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks have reached deals with ESPN to carry the SEC Network.

The companies and the Southeastern Conference announced the deal on Thursday. The network debuts on Aug. 14 and will be available to some 60 million households nationally, according to a news release.

The network will televise at least 45 SEC football games this season, starting Aug. 28 with Texas A&M playing South Carolina. It will broadcast more than 1,000 live events in its first year.

ESPN and the SEC reached a 20-year deal through 2034 to create and operate the network.
