Man pleads guilty in armored truck robbery

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — A Washington man has pleaded guilty to his role in the robbery of an armored truck in which more than $270,000 was stolen.

Twenty-eight-year-old Adrian Baldwin pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit an armed commercial robbery in federal court in Greenbelt on Wednesday. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison at sentencing Nov. 10.

According to his plea agreement, in November 2012, Baldwin and others robbed an armored truck picking up money from a bank in Hyattsville. Prosecutors say the robbers waited in a van, pointed guns at the driver, took the money bags and drove away.
