Indians take Cabrera out of game with back spasms

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Cleveland Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera has left the game with the Minnesota Twins because of lower back spasms.

Cabrera played two innings Monday night before being taken out. There was no word from the team on exactly how he was injured.

Chris Dickerson pinch hit for Cabrera in the top of the third and hit an RBI single. He went to center field in the bottom of the inning with Mike Aviles shifting to shortstop. Cabrera struck out in his only at-bat against Twins starter Kris Johnson.

The 28-year-old Cabrera has played in 94 of 99 games this season.
