AAA: Md. drivers paying $3.62 per gallon

WASHINGTON (AP) — Motorists in Maryland are paying four cents less at the pump when compared with a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic said Friday in a weekly report that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Maryland was $3.62, down from $3.66 a week ago.

The price of gas in the state is currently three cents above the national average of $3.59.

The average price of a gallon of unleaded gas around the state includes $3.59 in Baltimore, $3.71 in Cumberland, $3.66 in Hagerstown and $3.52 in Salisbury.

Motorists in the region are paying six cents less than at this time last year when the average price of a gallon of gas was $3.68 per gallon.
