2 missing, 1 dead in two separate boat accidents

BALTIMORE (AP) — The Coast Guard says two boaters are missing and a third is dead following two separate accidents in the Baltimore area.

The Guard’s Baltimore detachment said Monday night it is searching for 40-year-old James Jones after he failed to return from an outing in Cunninghill Cove near Middle River. The Guard says a good Samaritan located the missing man’s boat anchored approximately two miles from Pooles Island with no one aboard.

In a separate incident, authorities reported recovering the body of 42-year-old Brigette Marchand of Annapolis Monday after she and a companion were reported missing following an accident near the Francis Scott Key Bridge near Baltimore.

The Coast Guard says it’s now searching for 40-year-old David Frantzen, the boater who had been with the woman.
