Body found, crews search for boater after accident

BALTIMORE (AP) — Authorities say they’ve recovered the body of a woman and are searching for a missing man following a boating accident near the Francis Scott Key Bridge near Baltimore.

Maryland Natural Resources Police say the woman’s body was found Monday morning. She had been reported missing on Sunday. Her name has not been released.

The Coast Guard says it’s now searching for 40-year-old David Frantzen, the boater who had been with the woman.

Coast Guard crews found the boat that Franzen and the woman had been aboard on Monday afternoon at Sparrows Point, where it had run aground. Franzen and the woman are believed to have left the boat on Sunday between 10 a.m. and noon.
