Mattingly ejected from Dodgers’ game at Detroit

DETROIT (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has been ejected from Tuesday night’s game at Detroit.

It wasn’t clear what Mattingly’s dispute was with the umpiring crew, but with Adrian Gonzalez batting for the Dodgers in the sixth inning, plate ump Paul Schrieber stepped toward the Los Angeles dugout and made a quick motion, apparently ejecting Mattingly then.

Mattingly came out for a heated conversation with Schrieber, and then left the field.

The Dodgers were down 12-5 at the time. It was the second ejection of the season for Mattingly.
