Girl, 13, dead after Woodbridge crash

MANASSAS, Va. (AP) — Prince William County Police say a 13-year-old girl is dead after a car crash involving a drunk driver.

Police say it happened Sunday in the area of Touchstone Circle and Old Bridge Road in Woodbridge. Police say that the driver of a Nissan Sentra didn’t stop at a red light and struck a Ford Explorer.

Police say a 13-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy in the Explorer were not wearing their seat belts and were thrown from the vehicle. The driver of the Explorer, the 13-year-old boy and another 19-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the 13-year-old girl, Antoinette Peters of Alexandria, died Monday.

The Nissan’s driver, 32-year-old Duane Chaldron Brown, was arrested. No one answered Monday evening at a telephone listing for Brown.
