Blue Jackets re-sign Corey Tropp, Cody Goloubef

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-signed forward Corey Tropp and defenseman Corey Goloubef.

Tropp, who played in 44 games last season for the Blue Jackets, signed a two-year extension through the 2015-16 season. He had two goals and eight assists and a team-high plus-11 rating last year after he was acquired off waivers from Buffalo.

A former third-round pick by the Sabres in 2007, he has five goals and 14 assists in 87 career NHL games with Buffalo and Columbus.

The Blue Jackets’ second pick, 37th overall, in the 2008 draft, Goloubef signed a one-year, two-way (NHL/AHL) deal for next season. He has appeared in 17 career games with Columbus, scoring one goal.
