NAME: Warren Neil Eggleston.

BORN: July 5, 1953, Evansville, Indiana.

EXPERIENCE: Attorney in private practice, 1994-2014; associate counsel to President Bill Clinton, 1993-94; deputy chief counsel for the House Select Committee investigating the Iran-Contra affair, 1987-88; assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, 1981-87; law clerk to Chief Justice Warren Burger, 1979-80; law clerk to U.S. Appeals Court Judge James Hunter, 1978-79.

EDUCATION: Bachelor of arts in history from Duke University, 1975; law degree from Northwestern University, 1978.

FAMILY: Married to Penda Hair, co-founder of civil rights group the Advancement Project; daughter Rachel is in the Teach For America corps in Rhode Island; son Nat plays varsity soccer at Duke.
