The Associated Press

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons have placed receiver Drew Davis on the physically unable to perform list for training camp after recent foot surgery.

Coach Mike Smith said that Davis, a three-year veteran, “felt some discomfort in his foot at the end of minicamp” last month and has undergone surgery.

Davis caught 16 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns last season. He is not expected to return to the field for six weeks.
