3 injured when 2 boats collide near Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Coast Guard says three people were injured when two boats collided near Annapolis.

A boat from Coast Guard Station Annapolis was in the area at the time of the collision on Friday, and crew members witnessed the accident.

Coast Guard officials say one boater was flown to a hospital. Another was taken to a local hospital and a third declined to be hospitalized. The Coast Guard vessel towed one of the damaged boats to shore while crew members treated the injured.

Maryland Natural Resources police are investigating the collision.
