Blue Jays activate Cecil, option Gose to Triple-A

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Toronto Blue Jays have activated reliever Brett Cecil from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Anthony Gose to Triple-A Buffalo.

The Blue Jays made the moves before Friday’s game at Oakland.

Cecil went on the disabled list June 19 with a strained left groin. The 28-year-old left-hander is 0-3 with a 3.76 ERA in 32 appearances with the Blue Jays this season.

Gose is batting .229 with five RBIs in 44 games with Toronto.
