Anne Arundel police to discuss bicycle safety

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A series of bicycle-related accidents is prompting Anne Arundel County police to hold a news conference on preventative steps that can be taken to stop biking accidents.

Police have scheduled a Monday news conference in Annapolis with members of the cycling community.

Police have investigated a number of accidents involving bicycles within the last several days. Police say most of them have been minor, but the most recent incident involved life-threatening injuries.

Police plan to outline recent accidents, how they happened and preventive measures that could have been taken.
