Suns pick 7-1 Alec Brown in 2nd round of draft

PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns used their lone second-round draft pick in Thursday night’s NBA draft to select 7-foot-1 Alec Brown of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

He was the 50th player selected overall.

Brown averaged in double figures in each of his four seasons of college. Last year, he averaged a career-high 15.3 points per game.

Brown had an outstanding performance at the NBA Combine, showing his strong shooting ability.

He is fifth in Wisconsin-Green Bay’s career scoring, averaging 13.3 points in 126 games.
