Police investigating homicide in SW D.C.

WASHINGTON – Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Friday in Southwest D.C.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Howison Place SW, located just west of the intersection of M and South Capitol streets SW. They found a woman dead in the residence of an apparent gunshot wound. The woman was identified as Mary Anne Thomas, 53, of D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who gives police information leading to an arrest and conviction related to this homicide.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099 or text message information to the police department’s text tip line at 50411.
