Man’s body found in wooded area in Carroll County

HAMPSTEAD, Md. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a wooded area in Hampstead.

Deputies with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office were called to the wooded area beside a field about 8 a.m. Friday. Maryland State Police say a crew working on a cellphone tower found the body discovered the body.

Troopers say there were no signs of trauma to the body, which was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore.
