Bucks take O’Bryant in 2nd round of NBA draft

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks added another forward in the second round of the NBA draft by taking LSU’s Johnny O’Bryant III with the 36th overall pick.

The 6-foot-9 O’Bryant averaged 15.4 points and 7.7 rebounds last season as a junior with the Tigers. He is one of 14 players in LSU history to have 1,000 career points and 700 rebounds.

The Bucks had three second-round picks in this year’s draft. They added a potential franchise cornerstone by taking Duke forward Jabari Parker in the first round with the second overall pick.

Milwaukee has new owners who are looking to turn the franchise around following a league-worst 15-67 record.
