Council seeks input on higher education in Va.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A state panel is seeking public input on higher education in Virginia.

The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia has posted a survey to help the agency create a new strategic plan for higher education across the state.

Officials say the survey covers a number of crucial areas including policy, programs, funding, and the future direction of Virginia’s postsecondary system.

The council is the coordinating body for Virginia’s system of higher education and provides policy guidance and budget recommendations to state lawmakers.

The new strategic plan is expected to be completed in October.
