Woman pushing stroller struck by car

WASHINGTON – A woman was in serious condition after she was hit by a car while pushing a stroller in Alexandria Tuesday.

Alexandria police say the woman was struck just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Glebe Road and Commonwealth Avenue.

The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Police say the child in the stroller did not appear to be injured.
