Djokovic easily advances with 1st round win

LONDON (AP) — Top-seeded Novak Djokovic easily advanced to the second round at Wimbledon with a 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 win Monday over Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan.

Djokovic, who lost in last year’s Wimbledon final to Andy Murray, needed only 1 hour, 28 minutes to complete the win on Centre Court.

He didn’t face a break point and served seven aces.

Djokovic says “it was a great start, credit to Andrey for coming back and playing some good tennis in the third.”
