Transgender woman sexually assaulted in D.C.

WASHINGTON — D.C. police officers are looking for a suspect in connection with a first-degree sexual assault along the 1100 block of Atlas Court in Northeast.

At 1 a.m. Saturday, an adult transgender female accepted a ride from an unknown man, according to D.C. police. Once inside the vehicle, the man drove to a nearby alley, pulled out a handgun and sexually assaulted her.

The man is black and in his 20s, with short curly hair, dark complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and pants.

The man was driving a gold four-door Lexus, possibly an ES 350.

Call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411 if you have information. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the assault.
