Reds sign draft pick Alex Blandino

CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds have signed Stanford shortstop Alex Blandino to a contract.

Blandino was the team’s supplemental first-round pick and the 29th overall selection in the draft.

The team’s top pick, Virginia pitcher Nick Howard, is still with the Cavaliers. They have reached the College World Series, which is scheduled to start Monday.
