DC police arrest 2nd suspect in 2007 teen killing

WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia police have arrested a second suspect in a 2007 fatal shooting of a teenager from suburban Maryland.

The Washington Post (http://wapo.st/1qCGJn1 ) reports police arrested 24-year-old Maurice Pope of northeast Washington on Friday. He is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Terrence Fowler of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Fowler was short eight times in June 2007 in the Lincoln Heights area of northeast Washington over $400 he owed for a gun.

Last year, police charged Joshua Holifeld with first-degree murder in Fowler’s death.
