Body pulled from river in Salisbury park

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — Police in Salisbury are investigating the death of a man whose body was pulled from the east branch of the Wicomico River in Salisbury City Park.

Police identified the man Monday as 25-year-old Rodney Stevenson. They say there’s no indication of foul play but he had a slight injury on the back of his head.

Police Chief Barbara Duncan says Stevenson’s family saw him leave his home about 12 blocks away on foot at about 8:30 a.m. Monday. A park visitor spotted the body in the water and called 911 about 35 minutes later.

Police say Stevenson was believed to be walking to a location near the park.
