Man stabbed to death in Prince George’s County

WASHINGTON — A man was stabbed to death in Glenarden on Saturday night, and the police made an arrest in the case almost immediately.

Prince George’s county police were called at about 9 p.m. Saturday for a reported stabbing on Johnson Avenue, and when they got there they saw a man matching a description of the suspect running away from the area. They arrested the suspect, whom they identified as Jahwil Sheard, of Landover.

Meanwhile, officers found Terrell Burton, 26, of D.C., suffering from stab wounds, He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say the two had been arguing.

Sheard has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond.
