WASHINGTON (AP) — A District of Columbia man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in connection with a 2012 shooting in the U Street neighborhood that injured three people.

Matthew Bullock was sentenced Friday. A jury found Bullock guilty of 24 charges related to the shooting including three counts of assault with intent to kill while armed. Prosecutors told the jury that on the night of Dec. 3, 2012 Bullock and one of the victims were involved in a fistfight inside the Indulj Lounge, a bar and restaurant in the 1200 block of U Street NW.

After the fight, prosecutors say Bullock followed his victim into an alley behind the restaurant and shot at him, hitting him and two other men.

Bullock’s attorney declined comment in an e-mail message Saturday.
