DETROIT (AP) — Investigators searching for two Detroit children interviewed the husband of their mother whose decomposed body was found in a vacant house this week, police said Wednesday.

Alicia Fox’s husband was released after being interviewed Tuesday by FBI agents in Atlanta, said Officer Sandra Whitfield.

“We don’t have anything additional at this time,” said Whitfield, a Detroit police spokeswoman.

Fox’s body, shot twice in the head, was discovered Monday night in a Detroit house. Authorities were searching, meanwhile, for her children, 6-year-old Kaylah Hunter and 8-month-old Kristian Justice.

The children and their mother were last seen around May 24. Fliers about the missing children are posted throughout the neighborhood.

Fox’s children have different fathers. Investigators have contacted both men, including the man in Atlanta.

A neighbor, Chris Jones, said he had not seen Fox, or a man who was living with her, since around Memorial Day. He said the presence of a U-Haul truck suggested they were in the process of moving.
