Amsterdam Falafelshop to open four more D.C.-area stores

Next up for Amsterdam Falafelshop: Dupont Circle, Georgetown, Bethesda and Silver Spring.

David Rosenstein, the franchisee who recently signed a lease to open Amsterdam Falafel in Clarendon, has inked a development deal to open four additional stores in those neighborhoods. Rosenstein and Amsterdam owners Arianne and Scott Bennett made the announcement Wednesday.

The new stores don’t have set locations yet, but Rosenstein is actively looking for space, according to a spokeswoman. I’ve reached out to Rosenstein to learn more and will update this post when I hear back.

Amsterdam Falafel, which has been serving the Adams Morgan neighborhood for a decade, opened its second D.C. location earlier this year with another franchisee on 14th Street NW. A third is planned for L’Enfant Plaza. It’s part of a larger national expansion for the brand, which has also opened franchise locations in Annapolis, Maryland, and Massachusetts.
