Man dies after crash on Interstate 70

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — Maryland state police say a 59-year-old man died after he ran his car across the median and into the wrong lanes of Interstate 70.

Police say Robert Sadler Jr., of Verona, Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Hagerstown Saturday night. His passenger, Elaine Sadler, was taken to a hospital.

Police say according to witnesses, Sadler’s car left the westbound lanes, went across the center median and then crossed both eastbound lanes before it hit trees and a fence on the right shoulder.

The crash remains under investigation.
