WASHINGTON — A man struck by a Metro train at the Bethesda station at the start of rush hour Tuesday afternoon has checked himself out of a hospital, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says the man had a medical emergency and tried to get out of the way of the train. He was conscious and breathing when he was removed from the tracks but his injuries are life-threatening.
Metro is reviewing video footage to determine exactly what happened. The accident caused major delays for much of the Tuesday evening rush.
