Police: Parents passed out in car with baby

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County police say the parents of an 8-week-old baby got high and passed out inside a vehicle alongside their infant boy.

Police say an officer found the couple asleep inside their car Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of a McDonald’s on Generals Highway in Annapolis. The infant was in the rear of the vehicle and was alert.

Police say they had to physically wake up the couple, both of whom stumbled and had slurred speech. Police found synthetic marijuana known as “K2” and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Brooke Michael and Michael May have been charged with neglect of a minor and drug possession. Both are 20 years old and live in Annapolis. The child was released to the custody of his grandfather.
