Man slain at D.C. public housing complex

WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. police say a 32-year-old man was shot and killed at a public-housing complex on North Capitol Street.

Police were called to the Sursum Corda Cooperative around 9:20 p.m. on Friday and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was later identified as Donta Thrower of northwest Washington. Thrower was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police did not release any information about suspects or a possible motive.
