2 slayings, 1 nonfatal shooting in Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police are investigating two slayings and a nonfatal shooting.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, police say 47-year-old Eric Howard was fatally shot as he sat on his front porch in west Baltimore. Police say at least two men pulled up to Howard’s home in a dark van and opened fire. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Then, shortly before 2 a.m., police say a woman was found with a stab wound to the chest inside a rowhouse, also in west Baltimore. She was taken to a hospital, where she died. Her name has not been released.

On Friday evening, police say a man was shot in the torso and critically wounded in northeast Baltimore.

Police have made no arrests in the incidents.
