Police Looking For Would-Be Bethesda Bank Robber

Photo via Montgomery County PolicePolice are looking for help identifying a would-be Bethesda bank robber who got away without getting any money.

Police said the suspect pictured entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 7901 Wisconsin Ave. at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday. He then passed a note to the teller demanding money and indicating that he had a gun, police said.

Police didn’t say what happened next, but the suspect ended up leaving the bank without any money.

The man is described as black, between the ages of 30 and 40, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and weighing 160-180 pounds.

The Montgomery County Police are asking anyone with information to call 301-279-8000.
