WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton has slipped into the White House for a private lunch with President Barack Obama.

The White House is confirming the president and his former secretary of state dined, just the two of them. But aides to both are keeping the details under wraps. The White House will only say they met privately and informally.

The meeting was not on the president’s public schedule. But People magazine had an interview with Clinton about her upcoming book, “Hard Choices,” on Thursday and revealed the former first lady afterward headed to her one-time home at the White House.
