Drop Electric, Eels and Beatles cover band play this weekend

WASHINGTON — This weekend’s top concerts include local favorites, an indie underdog and even a cover band.

Drop Electric comes to the Howard Theatre Friday night.

Over the past year, the local experimental quintet has signed a record deal, had its music placed in a movie preview and a video for the environmental awareness group Greenpeace.
