Photo via City BurgerIn celebration of National Hamburger Day, a new burger joint in Bethesda is offering any customer who orders a burger a second burger for $1.

Another restaurant is offering free burgers to anyone with the last name “Burger,” or variations such as “Berger,” “Weinberger,” “Rosenberger” and others.

The buy one, get one for $1 deal comes from City Burger (7105 Wisconsin Ave.), the fast casual better burger concept that opened earlier this month. The last name deal is at national chain Smashburger (4903 Cordell Ave.).

Smashburger says there are about 21,687 people in the U.S. with the last name Burger and 1,530 with the last name Hamburger. If you happen to be a Burger or Berger or anything like it, bring your driver’s license or some form of ID. Participants will get one “Classic Smash.”

Not to be outdone, Five Guys is offering a gift bag via Facebook.
