Aerial acts, dance, bands planned for Artscape

BALTIMORE (AP) — Aerial performances above Charles Street, a celebration of dance and bands including Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings will be among the events set for Artscape 2014.

The 33rd annual event is set for July 18-20 and will include aerial artists, dancers, and circus acts performing on aerial cloth, trapeze, hoop and other apparatuses.

Live musical performances will be conducted by Latin hip-hop stars Ozomatli, funk & jazz legends Galactic and R&B artist Anthony Hamilton.

Dance companies, including Ballet Memphis and Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater, will perform at the Modell Performing Arts Center at The Lyric.

All Artscape events are free.
