Federer reaches 2nd round at French Open

PARIS (AP) — Roger Federer moved into the second round of the French Open by beating Lukas Lacko of Slovakia 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 Sunday.

Federer, who is looking for a second French Open title and 18th overall, reached the Monte Carlo final last month but lost to Stan Wawrinka. He then lost his first match in Rome after the birth of his second set of twins.

This season, Federer has been playing with former great Stefan Edberg as his coach.
