PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Phillies have placed right-hander Luis Garcia on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain.

Righty David Buchanan was called up from Triple-A and will make his major league debut against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. Buchanan is taking Cliff Lee’s spot in the rotation. Lee has an injured elbow.

Garcia had a 15.75 ERA in three appearances. Buchanan was 5-1 with a 3.98 ERA at Lehigh Valley.
