Astros scratch Peacock with sore forearm

SEATTLE (AP) — Houston Astros right-hander Brad Peacock has been scratched from his scheduled start against the Seattle Mariners after experiencing stiffness in his forearm.

The Astros made the move on Friday. Left-hander Rudy Owens was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and schedule to make his major league debut on Friday night.

Peacock started the season in the bullpen but has made his last six appearances as a starter for the Astros. He picked up his first win as a starter in his last outing, going 6 2-3 innings in a victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Owens made seven starts in 10 appearances at Oklahoma City. He was 2-3 with a 6.05 ERA. The Astros optioned right-hander Josh Zeid to Oklahoma City to clear the roster spot for Owens.
